Operation Guide

Important! First Time Use

Before using for the first time, wash the frying pan in warm

soapy water, rinse and dry.

Warning!

 Do not immerse the

appliance fully in any liquid. Do not immerse past the level

indicated on the bottom and the area around the input socket.

Important! Non Stick Heating

It is best to set a cooking temperature at medium or lower when

using Non Stick fry pans for an extended period. The nonstick

surface is subject to scorching under extended high heat

conditions which will impair its nonstick properties.

Important! Location

Place the appliance on a smooth firm horizontal bench or table

top. Do not operate near combustible material such as walls,

curtains, flammable material or other heat surface. Keep a gap

around the appliance of at least 20cm.

Power Connection

Ensure the controller is set to

OFF

 position (full anti-clockwise

position). Plug probe into the input socket of the appliance

firmly. Ensure it is fitted correctly. Connect the supply plug to a

suitable 220-240V ~50Hz power supply and switch on. This

appliance is designed to operate safely across both New

Zealand and Australian power supplies. This appliance is a

class 1 appliance and must be earthed.

Warning!

Only use with the supplied controller cord set.

Non Stick Surface

Cooking with non-stick surfaces reduces the need for cooking

oils. Discoloration of the surface will not reduce the

effectiveness of the surface. Do not use any metal objects on

the surface as this may damage the coating.

Cooking

Prepare your food to be cooked.

Warning!

Do not heat the appliance without oil or food in it.

Warning!

 Not suitable for deep frying.

Once connected and ready for use select the desired cooking

heat setting (refer guide). The pilot light will illuminate showing

heating is on. Once the selected temperature has been reached

the pilot light will switch off. The light will cycle on and off as the

temperature is maintained.

Place food into pan and cook as desired.

Once the food is cooked switch the controller to the

OFF

position, switch the power off and remove the supply cord.

Remove food and allow to cool.

Warning!

The thermostat controller metal probe may be hot, do

not touch.

Tips

Warning!

If frying with oil do not allow the oil to overheat as it

may catch fire. If this happens put the lid on to extinguish the

fire or cover with a fire blanket. DO NOT put water on it.

Warning!

Do not move appliance whilst connected to the mains

supply. An appliance with hot oil is extremely dangerous.

Warning!

Do not leave plastic utensils in contact with the hot

surfaces.

Warning!

Do not place hot glass lid or pan under cold water.
