Use lower browning level, when taking dry bread, cause it will get faster brown then fresh bread.
Choose a higher level when taking brown bread, than when taking white and soft bread.
To avoid overheating the toaster and getting an equal browning degree, always rest about 15
sec, before next roasting progress.
The highest level of the browning-degree control should be used for thick, brown bread only.
White bread could burn when using the high level and will get uneatable. Furthermore smoke
can develop. In this case immediately press the stop button (STOP) and unplug.
How to use the toaster
Put one slice of bread into each slot. Do not use thick slices of bread to avoid jamming.
The variable browning control controls the toasting time. Begin at first with medium controlling
and regulate it higher if required. Toasting time depends on the consistency, thickness and kind
of bread you are using.
Switch on the appliance by pushing down the lever.
Toast will pop up automatically when the selected browning level has been reached - the
heating stops and the toast will be lifted up. The control lamps will switch off.
Bun warmer
Buns and baguette slices are too thick for the toast slots. Always use the bun warmer for buns
and baguette slices. Unfold and place the bun warmer on top of the toaster fittingly. For buns
and baguettes a longer toasting time is necessary.
Reheat
The REHEAT button is to reheat toasted bread. Switch on the appliance by pressing the push
down button.
Then press the REHEAT button, the control lamp in the button will illuminate. The toasting time
will reduce for reheating.
You may use residual heat also. If necessary repeat the process.
Defrost
The DEFROST button is to defrost slices of bread and toast it. First switch on the appliance by
pressing the push down button.
Then press the DEFROST button, the control lamp in the button will illuminate The toasting time
will enlarge for defrosting.
You may use residual heat also. If necessary repeat the process.
Stop button (Cancel)
You may stop the toasting process at any time by pressing the CANCEL button.
Crumb tray
To remove crumbs, pull out the crumb-tray of the appliance. We recommend this after each use.
Ensure to insert the crumb tray before using the toaster again.
Caution danger of burning! For safety reason always unplug the appliance and let cool
down after having finished the toasting process and before removing the bun warmer.
Caution! Never use a fork or sharp-edged, metallic objects to get uptight pieces of
bread free. This might damage the heating element and cause danger of electric shock!
