Steam ironing
(is possible at higher
temperatures only).
Steam
ON
- turn the steam control to the
right (clockwise direction) till it is engaged.
Steam
OFF
- turn the steam control to the left
(counterclockwise direction) until it is engaged.
For using the steam function, turn the steam
control to “OFF” position and set the tempera-
ture control at the
or
position.
When the red control lamp switches off (click
sound), turn the steam control to the maximum
position, steam will exhaust, steam ironing can
be started. In vertical position steaming is
being stopped automatically.
After finishing steam ironing, let the rest steam
exhaust from the sole plate. Then turn the
temperature control (MIN) and the steam
control to the “OFF” position. Unplug and let
the iron cool down. Then pour out remaining
water.
NOTE:
Water may leak from the soleplate if
the temperature is too low. If so set the tem-
perature control to a higher temperature.
Always position the appliance in upright position
during breaks. This avoids leakage of water (if
steam control has not been switched off).
Before parking the iron in level position, leave
the iron steaming for a while in upright position.
Make sure that remaining water has been
vaporized completely from the sole plate.
Then turn the steam control to OFF position.
This avoids remaining water and leaking or
dripping from the sole plate, when storing at
level position.
How to use spray
The spray function can be used with steam
and/or dry ironing provided that there is water
in the tank. Press the spray button firmly and a
vaporised water will spray out from the nozzle
humidifying the fabric for easy ironing of
creases.
Dry ironing
Set steam level selector to “0”. Steam is now
switched off for dry ironing.
How to use self clean
Calcified water, dust or fuzz can block the
steam outlets. It is recommended to clean the
appliance from time to time and not to leave
water in the tank. Ensure that the water tank
is filled with water up to the max mark. Turn
the temperature control and the steam control
into maximum level. Let the appliance heat up
for a while in upright position, in order to get
enough pressure. Turn the steam control to
OFF position, to even increase pressure. Hold
the iron over an piece of old cloth. Then push
the steam burst button several times. Several
strong steam bursts will exhaust and clean the
steam outlets (please note chapter "steam
ironing" for more information).
After Ironing
Put the appliance into upright park position.
Pull the plug and let the appliance cool down
sufficiently. Then empty the remaining water to
avoid calcifying. Before storing the iron, let it
cool down completely.
Cleaning and storing
Caution! Danger of electrical shock!
Never immerse the appliance into water.
The connector parts must not get wet. Contact
of electrical parts with moisture causes short
circuit and damage.
Unplug the appliance after each use and
before cleaning, or storing it.
