The following color markings have been established by the
American Public Works Association (APWA):

Electric power lines, cables,

conduits
Red
Communication lines, cables,
conduits,
CATV Orange
Gas, oil, petroleum, or other
gaseous materials
Yellow
Sewers, storm and sanitary,
drain
lines
Green
Water, irrigation, or slurry lines
Blue
