Vision requests that a Data Collection Method
(DCM) be selected for communication with the
instrument.
The DCM sets important parameters for how the
data is taken, and assures consistent methods.
There are no Data Collection Methods available
because this is a new project. Click “New” to
establish a new Data Collection Method.
The instrument “self-
identifies” as an XDS
system with the MultiVial
Module. The user should
enter a logical name for
the DCM. (Spaces are
OK.)
Note that the “Spot Size”
should be adjusted if the
vial used is smaller than
21.56mm diameter. The
default spot size is
17.25mm. Normally the
beam size should be set
for 80% of the vial
diameter.
For the 15mm vial, use a
12mm spot size.
