MATH
" MATH " mode enables users to measure a given physical magnitude such as:
•
Volts
(0 - 10 V process, for example)
•
Amps
(4 - 20 mA current loop, for example)
•
Frequency (measuring rate or rotation speed, for example)
•
Ohms
(resistive position sensor, for example)
convert it and assign the adequate unit in order to obtain a direct reading of
the original magnitude on the instrument.

Keep the " MATH " key pressed down to access and exit this mode.
Six-phase programming is performed by successively pressing " MATH ",
then setting and validating the following via code wheel:
•
Definition of measured magnitude
•
Choice of measurement range
•
Definition of coefficient A of function y = Ax + b
•
Definition of coefficient B of function y = Ax + b (SI unit)
•
Choice of physical unit prefix to be displayed
•
Choice of physical unit to be displayed
MENU
The " MENU " mode enables users to define their own preferences for
certain instrument operation options and update internal clock date and
time.

Programming is performed in successive phases by pressing " MENU ",
then setting and validating the following via code wheel:
•
Validation or not of beep when pressing a key or during a warning while
unit is in operation.
•
Validation or not of automatic stop after 30 minutes operation if, during this
period, no action was performed on the front.
•
Step setting of LCD contrast (0, 33, 67, 100 %)
•
Parameterisation of transmission speed: 9600 / 19200 / 38400 / 57600.
Other transmission characteristics are fixed (8 data bits, 1stop bit, no
parity).
•
When turning instrument on,"
bASIC
" will allow you to find the
instrument’s basic configuration, while "
uSER
" will show the last "
advanced " configuration set up by the user for each instrument mode;
this particularly allows you to adapt to " multi-user " instrument operation
(choose "
bASIC
" option).

signals via VDC mode.
•
Allows you to choose 500 mV range input impedance.
