MI 3295S instrument:
1. Before starting measurements, synchronize the time and date on the Volt-meter MI
3295M and station MI 3295S. The main purpose of the Time/ Current
synchronization is to enable a correction of the step and contact voltage results
after the test. During the test the step and contact voltage results are calculated on
base on the set current (Iset) in the meter.
2. After the test, the results made with the meter can be updated with the real
generator current that were measured at the same time with the Station.
3. Under
SETTINGS
menu, set
POWER RANGE
to 50%.
4. Press
HELP
button on the MI 3295S to check the connection diagram
- connect current cable to C1/H terminal and other part to the
“current probe”

- connect current cable to C2/E terminal and other part to
pylon
Note: total cable must be totally unwrapped from the cable reel, due to the
increasing impedance (inductive part).
