Cut only stock of dimensions that al-
low for safe and secure holding
while cutting.
Always hold the workpiece down on
the table and do not twist it. Do not
attempt to stop the saw blade by
exerting lateral pressure to it. Risk of
injury if the saw blade is blocked.
7.1 Using the laser guide
The laser guide is switched on and off
via the switch
It projects a continuous red line at the
position where the workpiece is cut by
the saw blade.
Carry out a few trial cuts to become
familiar with the functioning.
3
Note:
The laser guide is especially suitable for
bevel cuts and compound mitre cuts
(see sections 'Operation' / 'Bevel cuts'
and 'Compound mitre cuts').
7.2 Mitre Cuts
3
Note:
A mitre cut cuts the workpiece at an
angle to the rear guide edge
.
Maximum cut dimensions: see section
'
Cut dimensions for various cuts'.
Starting position:
– Transport locking pin pulled out.
– Sawhead fully raised.
– Movable fence halves pushed tog-
ether and locked in place.
– Track arm holder in vertical (90°) po-
sition, sawhead tilt lock lever tighte-
ned.
Adjusting the saw:
1. Unscrew the lock screw
of the
rotary table and push down the
notch lever
.
2. Set to desired angle.
3
Note:
When the notch lever is pushed up the
rotary table can engage with positive
stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6° and 45°
positions. If the notch lever has been
pushed down completely the engage-
ment function is deactivated.
3. Tighten the rotary table's lock screw.
A
Caution
To ensure that the mitre angle does not
change during cutting tighten the lock
of the rotary table (even in
the preset stops!).
Cutting the workpiece:
4. Press the workpiece against the
fence and clamp with work clamp.
5. Activate the safety lock
and
press and hold down the ON/OFF
trigger switch
6. Slowly swing the sawhead fully
down, holding the handle firmly.
When sawing, exert only moderate
pressure to prevent the motor speed
from dropping too much.
7. Cut workpiece in a single pass.
8. Release the ON/OFF switch and let
the sawhead slowly return to its up-
per starting position.
7.3 Bevel Cuts
3
Note:
A bevel cut cuts the workpiece at an
angle to the vertical.
Maximum cut dimensions: see section
'
Cut dimensions for various cuts'.
Depending on the mitre angle it may be
necessary to push the movable fence
halves apart before cutting.
Starting position:
– Transport locking pin pulled out.
– Sawhead fully raised.
– Movable fence halves pushed apart
and locked in place.
– Rotary table in 0
°
position, lock screw
for rotary table tightened.
