Maximum work piece cross section
(dimensions in mm):
Starting position:

Sawhead fully raised.

Rotating table in 0
°
position, the lock
screw of the rotating table is tight-
ened.
Cutting the work piece:
1.
Loosen the ratchet lock lever
for sawhead tilt at the rear of the
saw.
2.
Tilt the motorhead slowly to the
desired position.

Note:
The track arm holder engages at
preset stops at the 0°, 22.5°, and 45 °
position.

Tighten the sawhead tilt ratchet lock
lever.
4.
Hold work piece against the fence.
5.
Press on the upper half of the ON/
OFF switch button and press the
safety lock.
6.
Slowly swing the sawhead fully
down, holding the handle firmly.
When sawing, exert only moderate
pressure to keep the motor speed
from dropping.
7.
Cut work piece in a single pass.
8.
Let the sawhead return slowly to its
upper starting position.
9.
If no further cutting is do be done
immerdiately afterwards, turn the
saw OFF (press on the lower half of
the switch button).
Compound mitre cuts
A compound mitre cut is a combination
of the mitre and bevel cut; this means
that in a single pass the work piece is cut
at an angle other then 90°to the fence
and
material surface.

Danger!
When cutting compound mitres
the saw blade is much more exposed
than normally - increased risk of injury.
Always keep sufficient distance to the
saw blade.

against the work piece's surface and
locked.
Cutting the work piece:

Hold work piece against the fence.

Safety Devices
Blade guard
The blade guard
protects against
accidental contact with the saw blade
and from chips flying about.
Always have the blade guard installed
during operation.
Riving knife
The riving knife
prevents the work
piece from being caught by the rising
teeth of the saw blade and being thrown
against the operator.
Always have the riving knife installed
during operation.
Side guard
The side guard
protects against
accidental contact with the saw blade.
The side guard must always be installed
while the machine is in operation.
Push stick
The push stick
serves as an exten-
sion of the hand and protects against
accidental contact with the saw blade.
