REPLACING THE BATTERIES (See Figures 30, 31, 32 and 33)
NOTE:
Only use YARD FORCE Electric Riding Lawn Mower 75Ah (LPC12-75) lead acid battery.
This mower operates on four 12 volt batteries connected in a series. If replacing one or more of the
batteries, always replace using a battery of the same type with equal voltage.
WARNING!
Do not open or mutilate the batteries. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to
the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire. The batteries could explode. Check with local codes for
possible special disposal instructions.
When batteries are not in use, keep away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such
as rings, bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may overheat and cause serious burns.
NOTICE!
Use only identical lead acid batteries when replacing. Never mix different makes and sizes of
batteries in the series. Doing so will eventually cause damage to the batteries and may also damage
the mower.
