7 Guide Sleeve, Dust Excluder, Retainer and Bush
Repeat for the second end cap.
The end caps for long and short pins will be fitted to a different
dimension as shown in Fig 72 for short pin & Fig 73 for long pin.
The dimensions must be checked to ensure that they do no
exceed the stated maximum figures.
Check again the free movement of the housing assembly on the
guide sleeves.
Slide the housing backwards and forwards several times to check
the smooth movement of the housing on the guide sleeves.
Slide the housing to check the location of the dust excluders.

Refit the bridge as described in the section 4 “Bridge
replacement”.
CAUTION
Always use new bridge screws (29). Once removed bridge
screws should no be re-used.
Refit the pads as described in section 2 “Pad replacement”.
Refit the air actuator as described in section 3 “Brake
replacement”.
Once the brake has been assembled and as a final check always
apply the brake 5 times to allow the automatic adjuster to set the
correct running clearance.
