Winterizing the Water Heater
1. Turn Off the water heater breaker.
2. Disconnect the hose (A) attached
to the pressure relief valve (B).
3. If there is any water in this hose,
drain it into the bilge or into a
bucket.
4. Open the pressure relief valve (B).
5. Open the drain valve (C).
6. Attach a tag to the water heater
breaker to indicate that the tank is
empty.
•
NOTE: Your yacht came with a tag
attached to the water heater breaker.
It is suggested that you keep this tag
and re-use it when winterizing.
•
Leave the pressure relief and drain
valves Open until you fit out your
yacht after storage.
