Shallow Water Operation

IMPORTANT: When in shallow water operation, be careful not to place your

hand between the swivel bracket and the stern bracket. Be sure to tilt the

outboard down slowly.

NOTE: Slow down to trolling speed, and shift to Neutral (N) before operating in

shallow water.

1. Stop the engine.
2.

Tilt up:

Put the reverse lock lever in the tilt up position, and tilt up the

engine to put the engine in the shallow water running position.
