the height adjustment device.
Couple up the trailer by reversing the tractor
vehicle. Never let the trailer run on.

WARNING
If you uncouple a trailer with an engaged
overrun brake, you could trap your hand
between the vehicle and the trailer drawbar.
This poses a risk of injury.
Do not uncouple a trailer with an engaged
overrun brake.
Coupling jaw
Example: securing knob
X Before coupling on the trailer: apply the
parking brake and release the service brake
on the trailer; see the manufacturer's oper-
ating instructions.
X Chock the trailer's rear wheels to prevent it
from rolling away.
The unbraked front axle of the trailer must
remain pivotable.
X Set the towbar supports to the height of the
trailer coupling; see the manufacturer's
operating instructions.
X Back up slowly until the trailer coupling
locks.
X
After coupling: check to ensure that the
trailer's coupling pin is positioned correctly
on the control pin or securing knob

X Connect the cable and compressed-air lines

Hook coupling
X Apply the parking brake on the trailer and
release the service brake.
X
Before coupling up, secure the trailer
against rolling away by using wheel chocks
on the rear wheels.
The unbraked front axle of the trailer must
be able to turn.
X
Position the towbar at the height of the
trailer coupling.
X Pull out retainer

X Swivel retainer

Press lever

forward in the direction of
the arrow.
The trailer coupling opens.
X Reverse the towing vehicle until the eyelet
of the towbar hits the trailer coupling.
The trailer coupling closes and is automati-
cally secured.
X Check that the trailer coupling is completely
closed. If not, pull lever

backward until

X Connect the compressed-air lines and
cables.
