Batteries and alternator
The on-board electrical system battery is located in
all models in the engine compartment at the rear
left in the direction of travel. An additional battery
is installed at the front right in the front passenger
footwell for the ECO start/stop function.

Note
The procedure for deenergizing or disconnecting
the battery is described in the Workshop Informa-
tion System (WIS).
