Threshold values of body
Additional information can be found in section 7 “Modi-
fications to the basic vehicle” (
•
Modifications are not permissible on the front
crossmember structure of the vehicle up to and
including the B-pillar.
•
If modifications are made to the load-bearing struc-
ture, the overall stability of the structure designed
by the upfitter must at least match that of the
series production vehicle.
•
Clearances for fuel filler necks, fuel tank lines and
fuel lines must be maintained.
•
Drilling or welding is not permissible in and on the
A-pillar and B-pillar.
•
If modifications are made to the sidewall of the
cargo van or passenger van, the stability of the
modified body must match the stability of the basic
vehicle.
