When the convenience closing feature is oper-
ating, parts of the body could become trapped
in the closing area of the side window and the
sliding sunroof.

When the convenience closing feature is
operating, monitor the entire closing
process and make sure that no body
parts are in the closing area.
Requirements

The SmartKey is in the immediate vicinity of
the vehicle.

Press and hold the

button on the Smart-
Key.
The following functions will be performed:
R
The vehicle will be locked.
R
The side windows will be closed.
R
The sliding sunroof will be closed.
R
The panoramic sliding sunroof will be
closed.

Resolving problems with the side windows
&
WARNING Risk of becoming trapped or
fatally injured if reversing protection is not
activated
If you close a side window again immediately
after it has been blocked, the side window will
close with increased or maximum force. The
reversing function is then not active and body
parts may become trapped.

Make sure that no parts of the body are
in the closing area.
#
To stop the closing process, release the
button or press the button again to
reopen the side window.
One of the side windows cannot be closed and
the cause is not obvious.

Check to see whether any objects are in the
window guide.
#
