If a loss of tire pressure or a defective tire is
detected and displayed.
If you deactivate the Active Lane Keeping Assist
warning and the lane markings were not clearly
detected, it is possible that no lane-correcting
brake application will take place (

page 248).
The system may be impaired or may not function
particularly in the following situations:
R
If there is poor visibility, e.g. due to insufficient
illumination of the road, highly variable shade
conditions, rain, snow, fog or heavy spray.
R
If there is glare, e.g. from oncoming traffic, the
sun or reflections.
R
If there is dirt on the windshield in the vicinity
of the multifunction camera or if the camera is
fogged up, damaged or obscured.
R
If there are no lane markings or several
unclear lane markings are present for one
lane, e.g. around roadworks.
R
If the lane markings are worn, dark or cov-
ered.
R
If the distance to the vehicle in front is too
short and thus the lane markings cannot be
detected.
R
If the lane markings change quickly, e.g. lanes
branch off, cross one another or merge.
R
If the road is very narrow and winding.
R
Vehicles with Driving Assistance Package: if
the radar sensors in the rear bumper are dirty
or covered in snow and an obstacle is detec-
ted in your lane, no lane-correcting brake
application takes place.
