The soul of AMG traces to an old German mill in 1967, where two former Mercedes-Benz engineers set out to handcraft champion racecars. Success on the track inspired them
to apply their unique performance pedigree to streetgoing Mercedes-Benz models. More than 45 years later, virtually every facet of design and development — from transmissions,
suspensions and brakes to the distinctive cockpit appointments — remains a seamless alignment of hands-on experience and high-performance engineering. More than a motto,

Injection V-8 generates 415 hp to deliver 0–60 mph in an
invigorating 4.5 seconds.

Along with light weight and low friction, the engine’s AMG
Cylinder Management and ECO Start/Stop system let it
shut down four cylinders — or all eight — when they’re not
needed, then reignite them in as little as 30 milliseconds.

The quick response of its 7-speed AMG
SPEEDSHIFT transmission is enhanced by three selectable
shift modes and rev-matched downshifts. Silver paddle
shifters are ideally placed on an AMG sport steering wheel
with flattened top and bottom sections and perforated
