5. The lid can be washed with hot water and
washing-up liquid. Do not immerse the
appliance casing in water or any other
liquid, and do not wash it in a dishwasher.
6. Clean the permanent filter by removing it
from the lid and washing in hot water and
washing-up liquid.
7. Rinse and wipe thoroughly dry before
replacing. Replace the filter cover.
WARNING!
Do not put the permanent filter in a
dishwasher.
OVERHEATING PROTECTION
The appliance is fitted with overheating
protection. If the appliance does not get
hot the reason for this could be that the
overheating protection has tripped.
Resetting the overheating protection
1. Pull out the plug.
2. Wait until the appliance and the oil have
completely cooled.
3. When the oil has completely cooled, lift
up the control panel and use a pen or
equivalent to press the button to reset the
thermostat, on the inside of the control
panel.

casing and continue deep-frying.

• It is not necessary to change the oil
every time it is used. The oil can quickly
become contaminated when deep-frying
food with a high protein content, such as
poultry, meat or fish. If the oil is mainly
used for deep-frying potatoes and is
filtered after use it can be used 8–10
times. Do not use the same oil for longer
than 6 months.
Filtering the oil
1. Pull out the plug and allow the appliance
to cool (about 2 hours). Pour the oil from
the oil container into another container
or bottle.
2. Wash and dry the oil container and the
deep-fryer basket.
3. Pour the oil back into the container
through a strainer or paper filter.

CLEANING
Clean the appliance every time it has been
used for best performance and lifespan.
WARNING!
Pull out the plug and allow the appliance to
cool (about 2 hours) before cleaning.
1. Do not immerse the control panel, the
power cord or plug, in water or any other
liquid – risk of electric shock.
2. Do not put the control panel, the power
cord or plug, in a dishwasher.
3. Clean the control panel with a damp
cloth.
4. The oil container and deep-fryer basket
are dishwasher-safe.
