3.5 Chassis Assembly
The chassis assembly is the housing for the system. The transducers are self-contained inside the chas-
sis and can be replaced at a Mensor approved service center. Figure 3.5 shows the top view of the chas-
sis with the cover removed.

3.5.1 Control Module
The control module is referred to as the “Needle Valve Regulator” (NVR Module). The NVR Module is
available in two variations depending on the working pressure range:
• Low Pressure NVR Module (LPNVR): 1500 psi and lower
• High Pressure NVR Module (HPNVR): greater than 1500 psi
Pressure limits for all of these are specified in Section 4, Specifications.
Each control module includes platforms for up to two high performance pressure transducers, CPR3050,
which are traceable to NIST standards. Both of these transducers can be used in conjunction with the
highly stable pressure regulator to produce a precise output. Each transducer includes its own on-board
compensation and calibration data so that any transducer can be replaced in the instrument without
requiring a recalibration.
