Warning

Caution! If the Automatic Contamination Prevention System is operated in Manual

mode, there is a risk of the solenoid valves to heat if the system is kept on for

more than a few seconds

i

Notice

The collection bottle should be periodically inspected for liquid contaminents and

purged through the plug at the bottom

Warning

!

Warning! The Automatic CPS should be turned off and allowed to cool down for

15 minutes before any cleaning or maintenance procedure is performed

8.7  Contamination Prevention Accessories

The contamination prevention accessories allow the user to operate the CPC3050 on contamination

prone devices. These accessories prevent contaminants like oil or dirt from entering into the instrument.

These filters, when connected to the Measure/Control Port at the rear of the instrument, prevent any

liquids to enter the controller when the direction of pressure flow is from device under test (DUT) to the

controller or when the device under test is vented.

8.7.1 Coalescing Filter (CPX-A-C4-9)

The coalescing filter is connected between the device under test and the Measure/ Control port. It has a

99.7% coelescing grade efficiency and clears contaminants up to 0.01 microns.
