Chimney Connecon
In order for the stove to perform sasfactorily the chimney height must be sufficient to ensure an adequate
draught to clear the products of combuson and prevent smoke problems into the room.
NOTE:
A chimney height of not less than 4.5 metres measured vercally from the outlet of the stove to the
top of the chimney should be sasfactory. Alternately the calculaon procedure given in BS 5854:1980 may
be used as the basis for deciding whether a parcular chimney design will provide sufficient draught.
Stove Performance & Tesng
Ashco Wide is tested in accordance with EN 13240. It is recommended as suitable for use in smoke control
areas when burning wood logs and when fied with a mechanical stop to prevent closure of the secondary
air control beyond :

Distance to Combusble materials
Combusble materials should not be located where the heat dissipang through the walls of fireplaces or
flues could ignite it. Therefore when installing the stove in the presence of combusble materials due
account must be taken of the guidance on the separaon of combusble material given in Building
Regulaons Approved Document J and also in these stove instrucons. The minimum distances to flammable
materials are specified on the EN 13240 plate on the back of the stove
