INTRODUCTION

To get the best out of your new apparatus, please read this user 
guide carefully before using it for the first time. We also re

-

commend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so 
that you can remind yourself of the functions of your apparatus.

SAFETY MEASURES

General 

•  Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and 

damage to the appliance.

•  Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not 

responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect 
use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).

•  For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
•  For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
•  The apparatus, cord or plug must not be placed in water or 

any other liquid.

•  Never touch the apparatus, cord or plug with wet or damp 

hands.

•  Never insert anything into the apparatus – especially when in 

use.

•  Do not cover.
•  Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
•  Never leave unattended when in use, and children may only 

use the appliance under the supervision of an adult.

•  NEVER use apparatus without front guard fitted!
•  Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning, or when not 

in use.

Cord and plug

•  Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do 

not use if they are, or if the appliance has been dropped or 
damaged in any other way. 

•  Never try to repair the apparatus yourself. If the apparatus, 

cable or plug needs to be repaired, it should be taken to an 
authorised service centre. Please contact the store where you 
bought the apparatus for repairs under guarantee.

•  Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the 

socket. Instead, hold the plug.

•  Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot 

objects and naked flames.

•  Cord must be fully extended during use.
•  Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any 

extension cord.

PREPARATION

Clean apparatus before first use. See “Cleaning”.

USE

1.  Position apparatus on a flat surface and check feet (2) are 

stable.

2.  Plug in and switch the power on.
3.  Switch on by pushing the on/off switch (4) to left (high speed) 

or right (low speed). The apparatus will start.

4.  Face the apparatus in the direction the airflow is required.
5.  Switch off by pushing the on/off button to the centre position.
6.  When not in use, disconnect from mains and wind cord up.

CLEANING

•  Switch the apparatus off and remove the plug from the wall 

socket before cleaning.

•  Clean the with a well-wrung damp cloth and a little washing-

up liquid, if required.

•  Do not use any form of solvent, or strong or abrasive cleaning 

agent.

In some member states you can, in certain cases, return the used 
equipment to the retailer from whom you purchased it, if you 
are purchasing new equipment. Contact your retailer, distributor
