USE
•
Place the appliance on a flat and dry
surface. The person using the appliance
should operate the buttons with the right
hand and the food pusher with the left
hand. Plug the appliance into the mains.
•
Unfold the platform (9). Place the piece
holder (7) on the sliding table (6). Insert
the sliding table (6) in the platform (9).
•
Move the sliding table (6) back and forth a
few times to ensure proper movement.
•
Select the required slice thickness from
0-15 mm. Turn the dial (10) clockwise for
thicker slices or counterclockwise for thin-
ner slices.
•
Place the food to be sliced on the sliding
table, and press it lightly against the thick-
ness guide (5) using the piece holder.
•
Press and hold the safety button (3), and
press the on/off button (2). The blade
starts rotating.
•
Move the sliding table back and forth
to slice the food. Always keep your left
hand’s fingers to the left of the piece
holder.
•
When finished, release the on/off button
and then the safety button.
TIP
•
To slice meats wafer thin, chill thoroughly
for 2-4 hours in freezer before slicing.
•
When slicing warm boneless roasts,
remove from oven and let set 15 to 20
minutes before slicing.
•
Cold cuts keep longer and retain flavor if
sliced as needed.
•
Foods with an uneven texture – like fish
and thin steaks – are often difficult to slice.
Partially freeze before slicing.
•
The appliance can also slice e.g. carrots
or potatoes in thin slices for chips.
CLEANING
•
Always switch the appliance off at the wall
socket and unplug before cleaning.
•
Wash all removable parts in warm water
with a little detergent.
•
Turn blade counterclockwise, and care-
fully remove the blade. Clean the blade
thoroughly in warm soapy water. Dry the
blade with a tea towel or similar. Do not let
the blade air dry.
•
Reinsert the blade and turn it clockwise
until it locks in position.
•
Do not wash the motor unit. Wipe the
motor unit with a damp cloth. Never use
abrasive detergents or solvents.
