You may experience a small amount of
smoke or odour the first few times the ap-
pliance is used. This is normal.
•
Open the lid. Place the hamburgers
(minced steak or mince) in the recesses in
the bottom plates and close the lid again.
•
Let the hamburgers fry for 4-8 minutes
depending on size and desired doneness.
Make sure that the meat is cooked all the
way through!
•
Open the lid and remove the hamburg-
ers with a wooden spatula once they are
cooked as required.
•
Unplug the appliance and allow it to stand
open until it has cooled.
CLEANING
•
Always switch the appliance off at the wall
socket and unplug before cleaning.
•
The appliance must not be immersed in
water or any other liquid.
•
Remove the drip tray and wash it in warm
soapy water.
•
Clean the outside of the appliance using a
damp cloth and, if necessary, a little wash-
ing-up liquid.
•
Clean the hotplates with a clean, well-
wrung cloth that has been dipped in clean,
hot water. Do not use detergents.
•
Never use abrasive detergents or sol-
vents.

from whom you purchased it, if you are pur-
chasing new equipment. Contact your retailer,
distributor or the municipal authorities for
further information on what to do with electrical
and electronic waste.
