USE
• Place the appliance on a level sur-
face. Plug the appliance in.
• Turn the thermostat dial (5) to the
required setting.
• The indicator light (6) for power
comes on and the appliance begins to
heat up.
• Insert the drip tray (10) fully into the
appliance so that it can collect grease
and meat juices.
• When the thermostat indicator light
(4) comes on, the appliance has
reached the correct temperature and
is ready for use.
• Open the lid (2) so that the top
hotplate (7) is vertical. Now place the
food on the bottom hotplate.
• Close the lid so that the top hotplate
rests on the food.
• Both hotplates on the appliance are
heated, which reduces the cooking
time.
• During cooking, the thermostat
indicator light will come on and go
off several times. This merely means
that the thermostat is coming on and
going off from time to time.
• You can stop the cooking process at
any time by removing the plug from
the socket.
• Once the food is ready, open the ap-
pliance carefully.
• Warning! The metal parts will get very
hot during use. Always hold by the
handle. Be careful of spitting oil, fat or
other liquids.
• Carefully release the food using a
heat-resistant plastic spatula or simi-
lar. You must not use metal utensils
or utensils with a sharp edge on the
hotplates due to their special non-
stick coating. Instead use plastic,
melamine or wooden utensils.
• Close the lid and unplug the appli-
ance once the food is ready.
• Before cleaning and storing the
appliance, make sure it has cooled
completely.
Use as an open grill
If you want to use the appliance as an
open grill, first open the lid so that it is
vertical. Then press and hold the release
button (9) and tilt the lid further round so
that both hotplates are facing upwards.
