Laser projector (13)
The beam from the laser project makes
it easier to carry out straight cuts
a) along a pre-drawn cutting line on the
work piece
b) or by pointing it at a marked fixed
point on the work piece.
The range of the beam is approximately
65 cm, depending on the ambient
lighting.
The laser projector is switched on/off as
required using the on/off button (15).
Changing the battery
Unscrew the battery compartment
cover (16) from the laser projector (13).
Always replace used batteries in pairs.
Make sure the polarity (+/–) is correct.
You will need 2 x 1.5 V alkaline batteries
of type Micro/AAA.
Adjusting the laser optic (14)
Set the cutting angle setting to 90°/0°,
place the shoes on an even surface and
switch on the laser projector. In this
position, the laser beam must run
parallel to the cutting direction, over
notch A, 90°/0°, Figure 3. If this is not
the case, release the two screws on the
laser optic, and position the optic
appropriately. Then tighten the screws
again.
Dust extractor (10)
The vacuum connection enables
you to extract the dust using a
vacuum cleaner. If necessary,
use the supplied adapter. Breathing in
dust is dangerous, and you should
therefore always work with the vacuum
system activated.
10 – Maintenance and
environmental protection
The ventilation slots on the engine
housing should be kept free and clean.
Blow the build up from the slots from
time to time.
CAUTION! Electrical and battery
operated units that no longer work
should not be disposed of in the
household waste! They are to be
collected separately, in
accordance with the
2002/96 EC directive for
the disposal of electrical
and electronic waste, and
sent for proper and
environmentally-friendly
recycling.
Please discard power tools no longer
usable at a local collection point.
Collection and disposal of packaging
materials separately by types complying
with local rules and regulations. For
details, please contact your municipal
authority concerned.
