Press resistance button R.
The instrument will interrupt the current
flowing through the test object and en-
ter the calculation mode. After about two
seconds, the resistance reading will appear
on the digital display expressed in micro-
ohms (on model MOM600A) or milliohms
(on model MOM200A). The current flowing
through the test object is interrupted auto-
matically, but the reading remains visible on
the display.

Turn off and disconnect the micro-ohmmeter
from the mains before doing any disconnec-
tion work or moving any cables or wiring.
External measuring instrument
If, for some reason, you want to use an external
measuring instrument to set the measurement cur-
rent, you can connect it to the current shunt. Voltage
across the current shunt is proportional to the mea-
surement current flowing through the test object,
10 mV per 100 A.
Troubleshooting
