Operation  

Braking 
 

¾

 

Avoid oil, grease or any lubricant contaminating the friction surfaces of the braking system as this will adversely 
affect the braking performance. 

¾

 

If the bike has been ridden in wet conditions, been washed or has not been used for a long period allowing 
corrosion of the discs, apply the brakes gently, several times to clear the friction surfaces. 

¾

 

Apply both the front and rear brakes to improve braking performance and reduce the chance of a wheel locking & 
skidding.
