INTRODUCTION PIR:
The MEGATRON
®
FERA triproof luminaires MT77331, MT77333, MT77335 incorporate a PIR (Passive Infra Red) sensing device, which continuously scans a preset operating zone and
immediately switches the light ON, when it detects movement in that area.
This means that, whenever movement is detected within the range of the sensor, the light will switch ON automatically, to illuminate the area you have selected to light up. If there is
movement within the range of the unit, the light will remain ON.
The PIR sensor can be switched ON and OFF at convenience, by pressing the switch located at the end cap side of the luminaire.
If the PIR sensor is switched off by the end cap switch, then the luminaire will light up permanently, when turned on by wall switch (no sensor function).
MOUNTING INSTRUCTION:
To achieve the best results, we suggest to take the following points into consideration:
•
Do not mount on a surface that is vibrating.
•
Avoid positioning the sensor unit adjacent or opposite to a bright light source, which may prevent the unit from operating, Avoid positioning the sensor unit adjacent or opposite to
a bright light source, which may prevent the unit from operating. Furthermore, avoid nuisance / false triggering by directing the sensor away from:
- Trees and shrubs,
- Reflective surfaces such as water surfaces (swimming pools),
- Heat sources such as boiler flues.
The detection range of the sensor can be altered by the mounting height and environment, and can be influenced by temperature change.

CAUTIONS:
•
Read the entire manual carefully before installation and operation.
•
Installation or replacement should be performed only by licensed and qualified electricians.
•
DO NOT disassemble the inner part of the luminaire. Doing so may result in luminaire damage or malfunction.
•
Switch OFF the power source before installation, replacement and cleaning!
•
Wearing gloves during installation is recommended to ensure the luminaire is kept in the best condition.
•
Before replacement of the luminaire, turn it off and allow it to cool down. Heat-resistant gloves are mandatory when handling the luminaire.
•
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage resulting from the misuse of the luminaire or from when it is used with inappropriate equipment.
•
Consult your dealer if you have any enquiries.
•
Important warning for drilling in walls: before drilling, make sure that there are no gas and water pipes or power lines behind or near the drilling spots. Drilling and mounting
should be performed only by qualified personnel. Be sure to pay attention at the condition and material of the walls, as the mounting material is not suitable for all wall types.
Please inquire about recommended screws and raw plugs for your wall type and wall condition. The manufacturer accepts no liability for improper wall raw plug mounting and
the herefrom resulting damages.
