SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use
Save these Operating Instructions for future reference.
Work area
Keep the work area clean and well lit. Dark and cluttered work areas invite the risk of accidents and
injuries.
Do not use power tools in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust and fumes.
Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance while using power tools. Disturbances can cause
you to lose control.
Electrical safety
The mains plug on the power tool must match the mains socket. Never modify the plug in any way.
Never use an adapter with earthed power tools.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. There is an increased risk of electric shock if
water enters a power tool.
Do not mistreat the power cord. Never use the power cord to carry or pull the power tool, or to pull
out the plug from the mains socket. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and
moving parts. Damaged or tangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When you use a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord designed for this purpose. Extension
cords approved for outdoor use reduce the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Pay attention to what you are doing and use your common sense when using power tools..
Never use power tools if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention when using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear safety glasses. The use of safety equipment such as a dust
mask, non-slip safety shoes, helmets and ear protection, reduces the risk of personal injury.
Avoid accidental starting. Make sure the power switch is set to OFF before inserting the plug in the
wall socket. Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch, or connecting it to the mains when
the switch is in the ON position, invites accidents.
Remove all service tools/keys before starting the power tool. A forgotten service tool in a rotating
part of the power tool can result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Make sure you always have a firm footing with good balance. This allows for
better control in unexpected situations.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose-fitting clothing, jewellery or long hair can get caught in
moving parts.
If equipment for the extraction and collection of dust is available, make sure that it is connected and
used properly. The use of such equipment can reduce dust-related hazards.
Power tool use and maintenance
Do not force the power tool. Use a power tool that is designed for the work you intend to perform.
The correct power tools does the job better and safer at the rate for which it is intended.
Do not use the power tool if the power switch does not switch the tool on and off. All power tools
that cannot be controlled with the power switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
Unplug the tool from the mains before making any adjustments, replacing accessories, or putting it
away for storage. This reduces the risk of starting the power tool unintentionally.
Store power tools out of the reach of children when not in use. Never allow children, or anyone who
is unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Power tools are dangerous
in the hands of inexperienced users.
