Connecting to a Sound Card
1.
Note the instructions in the chapter “
Safety and Service
” (pages 1
and following).
2.
Position the computer and the loudspeakers in such a way that you
can work on them comfortably and safely.
3.
Ensure your Computer and all connected peripheral devices
(monitor, printer, external modem, etc.) are powered off before
attempting to connect this device.
4.
Now connect the loudspeakers to connection (p. 5, [

]) together.
5.
Locate the loudspeaker output on the
sound card
of your
computer. This is usually marked with
Line out
or
Speaker out
and
will
generally be identified by its
green
colour. Read the
operating instructions of your computer if in doubt.
6.
Connect the end of the connection cable of your loudspeakers to the
respective output of your computer.
7.
Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC IN connector of your
loudspeakers (p. 5, [

]) and insert the power plug into an easily
accessible power outlet.

Switch on your loudspeakers with the On/Off button (p. 5, [

]).
9.
Now switch on your computer and all connected peripheral devices
(monitor, printer, external modem, etc.) and wait until the operating
system has started completely.
Operation
•
You switch the loudspeakers on or off again with the On/Off button
(p. 5, [
1
]). The fact that the loudspeakers are in operation is
indicated by an LED (p. 5, [

]).

Turn the volume control below the On/Off button (p. 5, [

]) to set
the volume.
•
The tone control (p. 5, [

]) gives you the possibility of setting the
tone according to your preferences.
