11.2. Maintain network connection

Set here whether the Internet radio should also maintain the network connec-
tion in standby mode (higher power consumption in standby mode). If you con-
firm the setting with
YES , the Internet and network functions are available
quicker after you switch on the device.
11.3. Select WiFi region

Select the region in which you are operating the Internet radio.
The device will then start searching for available WiFi networks (access points).
11.4. Establishing a connection to a network
Any networks found will be listed by their name (SSID). WiFi access points which
provide a connection via WPS are displayed with
[WPS]
.
Below these you will see the entries:
RESCAN : Start a new search
WIRED : Search for networks via Ethernet
MANUAL CONFIG : Enter the settings manually
11.4.1. Connection via LAN:

If you have connected a network cable that will be used for connecting to the In-
ternet, select the entry
WIRED
.
The Internet radio will then search for an Internet connection via Ethernet and will
establish the connection automatically. A successful or failed connection will be in-
dicated by a corresponding message.
11.4.2. Connection via WiFi:

Select the WiFi access point via which the Internet radio is to be connected and
press the rotary dial to confirm.
If this is an unencrypted (open) WiFi access point, the Internet radio will establish
the connection automatically.

To connect via an encrypted network, please note the following sections.
