Damage
• If the device or mains cable is damaged, remove the plug from the mains immedi-
ately.
•
WARNING!
Never try to open and/or repair the device yourself. There is the risk
of electric shock!
• In order to prevent exposure to danger, damaged mains cables should be replaced
by the manufacturer or the manufacturer´s customer service department or by a
similarly qualified person.
• If there is a fault, please contact our Service Centre or another duly qualified spe-
cialist workshop.
Information on handling batteries
The device is battery-operated. Please note the following instructions on handling bat-
teries:
• Never recharge batteries! There is a risk of explosion!
• Keep batteries away from children; do not throw them into a fire, short-circuit or
dismantle them.
• When inserting batteries ensure that the polarity is correct.
• Always replace all the batteries at the same time (device).
• Always use replacement batteries of the same type; do not mix different types of
batteries or old and new batteries.
• Clean the contacts on the batteries and on the device before inserting the batteries.
• Remove depleted batteries immediately! There is an increased risk of leakage!
• Never expose the batteries to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire or similar.
• If this is not adhered to, the batteries may be discharged beyond their final voltage
and could leak! Remove batteries immediately to avoid any possible damage.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If any of these areas come
into contact with battery acid, rinse them immediately with plenty of clean water
and consult a doctor as soon as possible.
• Remove the batteries from the remote control and from the device if the device is
not in use for an extended period.
Cleaning and storage
• Before cleaning, pull the plug out of the mains socket.
• Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the device. Avoid using chemical solutions and clean-
ing products because these may damage the device's surface and/or markings.
• Remove the batteries and unplug the mains cable if the device is not going to be
used for a long time.
