Tables
There are two types of tables used in the MIB structure. They contain:
Generic variables that apply to each line of a unit. This avoids to repeat each set of variables
for each line it has.
The administrative commands and status related to a managed object.
Generic Variables
All tables used to set variables for one or more lines (such as the
voiceIfTable
) are based on the
ifTable
, or
interface table.
The
ifTable
lists the interfaces of a unit. In other words, it basically defines the lines that are used by the unit.
It contains an
ifIndex
, which defines the interfaces. It may also contain interfaces such as:
the LoopBack (
lo
) and Ethernet (
eth0
) interfaces.
the actual voice interfaces (lines) of the unit.
gives an example of the
ifTable
.
Figure 67
shows a table built in the Unit Manager Network from the
voiceifTable
parameters.

You can perform GET and SET operations on these parameters.
