What can I do if...

... the brace slips?

check that the brace is fitted properly. the

•

center of the brace joints should be level with
the upper border of the kneecap.
Make sure that the back thigh strap (#

•

5) is

above the largest part of the calf muscle.
take the covers off the knee pads and wear

•

the pads directly on your skin. Watch for skin
reactions; skin irritation may occur in people
with very sensitive skin.
Do not wear the brace over clothes.

•

... the pads have worn down?

replacement pads can be obtained from

•

mediusa. Your orthotist will be pleased to help.

Care instructions

the inner pads and the condyle pads can be
washed by hand with a mild soap/detergent.
Leave to dry naturally. When used normally the
brace is maintenance-free. However, after using
the brace in water, the hinges can be lubricated
using teflon

spray. regularly check that the joint

screws are secure, tighten if necessary.

Storage

Keep the brace in a cool, dry place and do not
expose to direct sunlight.
