Uses
n
Collect breastmilk at work or during other absences from the baby.
n
Maintain a milk supply if breastfeeding is temporarily interrupted.
n
Relieve engorgement with single pumping. Single pumping with
simultaneous massage is helpful to relieve engorgement.

Important:
This product is a single user item. Use by more than one
user may pose a health risk and performance questions and voids the
warranty.
Hygiene
Wash hands before touching breasts or
containers and avoid touching the inside
of containers or lids.
Cleaning
Follow these cleaning instructions unless you are told otherwise by
your healthcare professional. Prior to cleaning, take apart all parts
of your breastpump accessory kit. Especially be sure to remove the
yellow valve from the breastshield connector and separate the white
membrane from the valve prior to cleaning. See parts 6 - 9 on the
illustration (page 3).
Important Note:
If you experience pain while pumping seek advice
from your healthcare professional, breastfeeding specialist, or
Certified Lactation Consultant (LC). Call 1-800-TELL YOU to locate
a breastfeeding specialist in your area.
Prior to first use:
Disassemble all parts of your kit and breastpump that come in
contact with the breast and breastmilk
(breastshields, connectors,
valves, membranes, bottles, and caps).
Boil water for 10 minutes. It is
not necessary to clean tubing prior to first use.

After each use:
•
It is not necessary to clean tubing after each use
(see Tubing Care
on page 6).
•
Disassemble all parts that come in contact with your breast and
breastmilk
(breastshields, connectors, valves, membranes, bottles,
and caps).
•
Rinse all separated parts in cool water to remove breastmilk residue.
•
Wash all separated parts in warm, soapy water.
•
Rinse all separated parts with clear water.
•
Allow all disassembled parts to air dry in a clean area and store dry
parts when not in use. Do NOT store wet or damp parts.
Note:
Make sure all parts are completely dry before re-assembling.
•
Use a damp (not wet) cloth to wipe the bag and diaphragm cap of
breastpump after each use. See part 1 on the illustration (page 3).
Important Notes:
• Always inspect the bottle and other components immediately before
and after each use.
• If components appear cracked or torn, discontinue use immediately.
• Always inspect AC to DC adaptor and battery pack wires and cords
prior to use for any damage or exposed wire. If damage is found,
immediately discontinue usage of adaptor or battery pack and call
Medela Customer Service at 800-435-8316.
