Matrix and Keypad Button Wiring
Matrix wiring of the inputs allows us to use many more pushbuttons than the individual inputs
available.
We use a system of Columns and Rows. Each column and each row is assigned to an input on
the Hydra.
A pushbutton will have 2 terminals. One is connected to a column and the other to a row.
Each intersection of a column and row is a place for a pushbutton. See the example on page 32.
Since the Hydra has 10 input terminals, we can have up to a 5x5 matrix with up to 25 push
buttons.
