13.  BATTERY BACKUP (OPTIONAL – NOT AVAILABLE ON ALL MODELS) 

Install the backup battery onto the control box rack, screw in and connect the wires 

(See figure # 6 in section 3.2 of this manual) 

 

The optional emergency battery backup enables the caregiver to control all functions with the 

patient remote control in case of a power outage or during patient transport.   

 

Battery type: lead-acid cell, 24V 4A rechargeable batteries.   

 

The battery lifetime is 2- 4 years depending on usage. Replace the battery when the functions 

no longer operate well in battery mode (and plug is disconnected).   

 

To replace the battery see section 3.2 above.   

 

If the bed is not used for a long time (more than 1 month), it is recommended to recharge the 

batteries. Plug in the AC wire of the bed to recharge the battery for 8-10 hours one time each 

month.

 

 

 

14.    Lifting pole and IV pole are optional 

There are two (2) lifting pole sockets and two (2) IV pole sockets on the head part of the bed 

frame.
