Troubleshooting the Sonnet Processor
No sound / no start-up lights
Change the battery. If using disposable batteries, you may wish to try batteries from
a different pack if they were changed recently.
If using disposable batteries, check that the battery contacts are clean and free from
dust and dirt.
If using rechargeable batteries, check that the rechargeable battery adaptor is fitted
snugly to the base of the processor, and that the rechargeable battery clicks into
place. Check the charging process. Make sure the USB power cable is firmly plugged
into the charging unit and it is free from any damage to the cable.
Check that the battery pack cover slides all the way up to the base of the processor.
If not, gently wipe with a soft cloth or replace.
Check the coil cable is fully inserted into its socket. If the problem persists, change
the coil cable. Pull the old cable straight out without twisting, and push your new coil
cable in firmly. Repeat this process to attach your old headpiece to the new cable.
Use the speech processor test device to check that the Sonnet is transmitting sound.
