Why is hair removal from your face not
like other body areas
The hair on the face differs from other body areas
in its physiology. Its growing cycles are different,
and its characteristics, such as thickness (vellus hair),
color and depth of follicle are different from
body hair.
The face is more sensitive to hair removal due to
sensitivity of nerves in some of its areas.
The skin on the face and neck is more likely to be
exposed daily to the sun’s UV radiation and
therefore may be more sensitive than other parts of
your body.
Treating near
your eyes can cause temporary
discomfort, and therefore it is required to use
protective eyewear and treat only from your
cheeks and down.
