(f). If required, attach terminals to black
and gray wires from lamps (black
wire from DS401-1 and gray wire
from DS402-1). Connect black wire
with terminal to relay terminal
K302-A2; connect gray wire with
terminal to relay terminal K303-A2.
Cover relay terminals with caps.
NOTE:
If required, terminals are used on ends
of black and gray wires at lamp terminals
DS401-1 and DS402-1.
(g). Install protective sleeving (CM614)
over SP66 and SP67 splice connec
tions and secure wiring with tie
straps (CM703).

(1). Position access cover on existing floor
channels and center channel and
determine attach hole locations for
fastener studs in access cover, center
channel and floor channels; locate from
pilot holes provided in access cover.
Drill 0.218 inch (5.5372 mm) holes for
fastener studs in access cover, center
channel, and floor.
(2). Drill 0.218 inch (5.5372 mm) hole in
each of three angles for location of
fastener retainer springs.
(3). Position angles on floor access aft
channel and determine angle attach
hole locations Drill 0.1285 inch (3.2639
mm) rivet attach holes, two in each
angle (six in floor channels). Attach
angles for retention of springs. Attach
springs to angles with rivets Using
grommets, secure corresponding studs
to access cover.
(4). Drill two each 0.098 inch (2.4892) holes
in floor access side channels for reten
tion of fillers and springs. Attach fillers
and springs to channels with rivets.
Using grommets, secure corresponding
studs to access cover.
(5). Drill two each 0.098 inch (2.4892) holes
in center channel for retention of
springs. Attach springs to center
channel with rivets. Using grommets,
secure corresponding studs to access
cover.
(6). Install access cover and secure fastener
studs to fastener retaining springs on
floor compartment. Check cover for
proper fit and security of fasteners.
(7). Using double-faced tape (CM718),
install floor carpeting; cut and trim
carpeting to accommodate searchlight
base, access cover and web.
K. Helicopter Equipment Installation
After installation of searchlight assembly, a
limited number of items must be replaced in
the helicopter. Refer to CSP HMI 2 and
perform the following:
(1). Install seat on right side of crew
compartment.
(2). If searchlight assembly is removed from
helicopter per Searchlight Assembly
Removal, install copilot's cyclic stick as
required.
