8. Battery Replacement
(1). Ensure that all electrical power is off.
(2). Raise pilot's floor (left side) compart
ment access door.
(3). Disconnect battery connector.
(4). Remove screws and washers attaching
battery mounting brackets to support
assemblies.
(5). Lift battery, with cover in place, out of
battery compartment. (Place battery in
a protected area away from any
lead-acid battery or equipment used to
service lead-acid batteries.)
Before installing replacement
battery, ensure that battery is
charged and shorting straps are removed.
(6). Position replacement battery mounting
brackets on battery support assemblies.
Connector on battery box should be
facing aft. Attach mounting brackets to
support assemblies with screws and
washers removed in step (4).
(7). Attach battery wire harness connector
to connector on battery box.
(8). Close compartment access door.
