(3). Attach doubler to web with cleco
wrenches.
(4). Position angle as shown, and drill two
0.062 inch (1.5748 mm) pilot holes in
web and doubler to match pilot holes in
angle. Attach angle to doubler with two
cleco wrenches.
(5). Install MS21103D10 clamp as shown.
(6). Carefully insert rear of heated pitot
tube through new canopy grommet,
wires and pressure tube first.
(7). Engage notch on rear of heated pitot
tube with position key on doubler, and
secure rear of heated pitot tube to angle
with clamp and cleco wrench.
(8). Carefully observe alignment of heated
pitot with longitudinal axis of helicop
ter.
(9). Verify that open end of heated pitot
tube has 10 degree angle of elevation
above horizontal plane with helicopter
standing at normal, inert attitude on
level ground.
(10). If alignment of heated pitot tube is not
correct, relocate doubler as required to
make correction.
(11). When alignment of heated pitot tube
has been corrected, carefully enlarge
holes in web, doubler, and angle to
0.096 inch (2.4384 mm) with number
41 drill bit for clearance of
MS20470AD3 rivets, or 0.144 inch
(3.6576 mm) with number 27 drill bit
for clearance of NAS601-4 screws.
Alternate cleco wrenches from hole to
hole to maintain alignment while
drilling holes.
(12). Remove cleco wrenches and deburr all
holes.
(13). Attach doubler to web with fourteen
NAS601-4 screws, AN960PD6L flat
washers, and MS21042-06 self-locking
nuts, or fourteen MS20470AD3 rivets.
(14). Enlarge hole in web to match doubler,
but do not alter shape of position key on
doubler.
