Starting and Driving

Starting The Engine
1. Ensure that the key fob is in the
vehicle.
2. Depress the brake pedal and press and
release the START/STOP button. The
engine will start.
3. If the START/STOP button is pressed
again while the engine is cranking,
cranking is stopped.
Stopping The Engine
1. Depress the brake pedal.
2. Select neutral.
3. Press the START/STOP button.The
engine stops and the immobiliser is
activated. The vehicle enters Awake
mode. See Vehicle Electrical Status,
page 2.4.
NOTE: The parking brake will apply
automatically when the engine is
stopped. Automatic application can
be overridden by holding the
parking brake switch in the off
position whilst opening the driver’s
door.
