The luggage compartment will fully unlock
and open slightly.

Lift the luggage compartment lid and
release the safety latch.

Open the luggage compartment lid, the gas
struts will support it in the fully open
position.

Fit the mechanical key back into the key
fob.
10. If the key fob battery has become
discharged, replace the battery at the
earliest possible opportunity, see Replacing
key fob battery, page 6.35.
Replacing key fob battery
NOTE: If the key fob battery has become
discharged, the vehicle can still be
started by placing the key fob in front
of the cup holder and pressing the
START/STOP
1.
Slide the back cover off the key fob.
2.
Lift off the battery cover and remove the
discharged battery.
3.
Install a new battery, ensuring that the
polarity is correct.
NOTE: Handle the battery as little as
possible. Moisture and oil from fingers
can affect battery life and cause
corrosion of the contacts. Only hold the
battery on the edges.
4.
Refit the battery cover, ensuring that it is
clipped securely and sealed.
5.
Refit the key fob back cover.
