Category 5 Enhanced (Cat 5e) cable is required for transmission speeds up
to 1 Gigabit per second (Gigabit Ethernet).

For Ethernet networks running at 10 or 100 Mbps, Category 5 (Cat 5) OR
Cat 5e cable can be used.
