(15) KEY button (HOTCUE)
• Press this button to switch the key function on or off.
• When this function is active, the pitch will not be changed when the playback speed is changed using the
PITCH (18) control.
The device stores the pitch at the time the KEY button is pressed. That means that if the PITCH (18)
control is not in the centre position at this time, the pitch stored is not the original pitch of the track, but
the pitch resulting from the change of playback speed.
• Press SHIFT (20) + (HOTCUE), to switch the HOTCUE function on or off. This function can be used to define
3 HOTCUE points with the SET CUE button (8).
(16) CH1 and CH2 channel fader
• Use these sliders to set the volume for the respective channel.
(17) Crossfader
• Control for crossfading between the two channels.
• One channel is faded out using the slide control while the other channel is faded in.
• When the CROSSFADER is in centre position, both channels are played equally.
(18) PITCH control
• Use this control to set the playback speed of the respective channel.
• Push the control upwards to decrease playback speed or down to increase it.
• At the centre position, the control has no influence on speed.
(19) JOG wheel
• By turning the wheel during playback, you can change the playback speed.
• In pause mode, you can directly access a desired position on the piece of music.
• When the SCRATCH (12) button is active, the jog wheel is used to control the scratch effect.
