Maintenance
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the effect light:
After switching off the device wait at least 10 minutes before opening it!
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all power sources before any servicing or repair
work is carried out.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been
disconnected from all power sources.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations
may perform repairs.
Replacing the Fuse
If you have to replace the fuse, ensure that you only use fuses of the specified type and rated current (see
“Specifications”).
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• Unplug the mains plug from the power socket and from the mains POWER socket on the device.
• Using a suitable screwdriver, carefully open the fuse holder with the faulty fuse next to the mains POWER
connection.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the type indicated.
• Carefully push the fuse holder with the new fuse back into its position at the mains connection of the device.
• Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and put it into operation again.
Cleaning
The outside of the effect light should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush. The glass lenses may
be cleaned by using a commercially available glass cleaning agent.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions for the casing, as these may damage the
surface of the casing.
